The 12-year animal zodiac cycle
originated in China but gradually spread throughout East Asia.
It was used not only for naming years, but also for months, hours
of the day and to indicate directions.
By popular request, we are thrilled
to announce the publication of a set of 13 delightful and unique
Asian Zodiac postcards. The cards measure 5" X 7". There is one card for each animal in the
12-year cycle plus an additional card depicting the complete cycle.
The cycle begins with the Mouse and ends with the Boar.
It is believed that people take
on the character of the animal associated with their birth year.
On the back of each card, characteristics for each animal are
listed.

Add or subtract multiples of 12 to
the year you were born to find out your animal. For example, if
you were born in 1948, your animal is the Mouse. 1948 plus 36 (12 x 3) equals 1984.
